He should be more cheerful, they’ve put on sexy uniforms for him.

Also from TLIT, here’s another hentai image. This is from Gelbooru.com, a gigantic database of hentai images with a fairly comprehensive tag system, something I’ve just been discussing with MayMay. This picture is also unabashedly shotacon, and so presumably illegal in the UK(?)
This is a 20-page web-manga by Kensoh Ogawah. Complete with the insane little Japanese censor bars (the visual equivalent of “then the huge-cocked orang-utang fuc*ed the helpless sailors one at a time”). Moreover, on page 15, the English captions revert to kanji, like old erotic texts putting the hottest bits in latin. (Actually, I’ve seen that as recently as the 1970s).
While I would agree with TLIT’s assesment that Sumire-Senpai is, in a sense, a domme, the cultural differences are pronounced. Most of all, her character (who has sex with boys if they know a certain code word) would be a “slut” in the West, and therefore presented as submissive. Here, she seems to be quite in control of the situation.
Moreover, as this page suggests, she is “taking” his virginity, reversing the usual gender dynamic in which men are never virgins and only women get “deflowered”.
Scooby Doo (born 1969) is something of an American institution. Each of the characters has been given lots of bonus connotations in pop culture, including their famous associations with the five colleges (Daphne is Mt. Holyoke, Velma is Smith, etc.).
Velma is usually given the sexy-librarian-domme tag, although to truly fit the sterotype, she would need Daphne’s hair (put up in a bun, to be shaken loose in slow motion as she removes her glasses and picks up her riding crop.)
I love that this panel has been abstracted from whatever manga it came from, so we don’t know what he’s…uhmmm….concerned about. I’ve decided it’s a Kali Bracelet. When he loses this erection, she’ll lock him in. And it will be uncomfortable. Until he gets hard. And then it will be the tiniest, spikiest circle of hell, locked around the base of his cock.
Devilish redheads are just the best, hm?
The Shotacon and Lolicon genres of Japanese manga are probably the most troubling to Americans, who are lately concerned about pedophilia and child pornography in a way that pretty much precludes rational conversation. (Although we are out ahead of about six countries that have banned such images, even though (a) they don’t depict real people, and (b) said countries do not generally prohibit images of other criminal activity, such as murder, rape, theft, etc.)
In all events, these genres often don’t seem to be about sexualizing realistic children any more than kitten-play is about sexualizing real cats. In lolicon, the girls are pre-pubescents with enormous sexual appetites (and sometimes huge breasts); in shota, the boys tend to have mature ginormous cocks.
Or something. Tamaki Saito breaks it down:
“shota texts by female yaoi authors are structurally identical to yaoi texts, while shota by male otaku clearly position these little boys as young girls with penises.”
Now that we have that cleared up, you be the judge: is this a little boy with a man-sized cock, or a little girl with a man-sized cock? And which upsets your value system more?
Pliers are scary enough on nipples.
