Le Cuir Triomphant, 1934
There were two fetish authors who both used the pseudonym Alan Mac Clyde. This is by the earlier of the two. The cover design is by Carlo, and I’ve seen it referenced as the earliest example of the modern, hard-media leather dominatrix. Though right here at the get-go, the subs are in hard-media leather fetish, too.

The September 1956 cover of Man’s Life. All the covers were more or less in this vein, but Weasels Ripped My Flesh would get immortalized by Frank Zappa.
if you are not familiar with MAN’S LIFE here is a good introduction

Tagging this was interesting.

I have this obsession with bizarre lawsuits, and one of the weirder ones I can think of was a 2005 suit brought by three female employees of Francine Patterson, the ethologist (more or less) who has trained Koko the gorilla in sign language. The plaintiffs said that Patterson talked them into displaying their breasts to Koko, who Patterson says has a nipple fetish. While this is maybe not the only sexual harassment involving five females and no males, it is certainly the only one in which one of the females is a gorilla.
Also, great frown.
Although I’ve never seen this in writing, I have a hunch that the cover artists of the old pulp fantasy/sci-fi magazines must have shifted heavily into (a) role-playing-game artwork, and (b) heavy-metal album covers. It’s the same style and content.
Above, Boris Vallejo, the Picasso of pulp.

Two things bother me about this picture, and this whole slew of pictures, actually.
First, what kind of carnivore leaves behind clean, well-articulated skeletons? Only bugs and very small rodents. If you get eaten by a dragon, or even a bunch of pomeranians, your bones are going to wind up all over the place, and some of them will get buried in the petunias. Yes? OK.
Second….the girls who become dragon snacks are usually naked, which is well and good, but they are always chained up. The poor dragons must be all the time picking bits of chain out of their teeth.

And I think that’s it for now on the virginity front, though I feel like I’ve given virgin sacrifices short change. Also, I don’t think I’ve found a really classic virgin sacrifice, the trope without any extra bells and whistles. Anyone got any images that fit the bill?

Virgin sacrifice, as a trope, is pretty closely related to defloration (usually with the same poses and symbolic drama). Which makes this image a bit of an anomaly, since we have a guy. He’s thinking, the abstinence-until-marraige people never told me about this part.
I want this to be a poster for a crossover movie, like, De Sade vs. the Loch Ness Monster: The Scottish Plesiosaur Surrenders to the Whip!
In fact, I think it’s an Italian pulp magazine called De Sade. But the look on Nessie’s face makes it all OK.

Gee wow. Got up this morning to find a dozen different suggestions for the dominatrix librarian theme, mainly by a “toppy librarian in training” (hereinafter TLIT). Thank you so much!
I want to note, though, that none of these images really nails the dominatrix-librarian fantasy: we have domme and we have sexy and we have nerdy and we have librarian, but usually not in full combination. There is obviously some room for work here.
Snowdrop Explodes writes:
For your “Librarian Domme” theme, you could do worse than check out the currnt storyline in “Girls With Slingshots” , although I’m not sure what Danielle Corsetto’s policy is on her work being blogged elsewhere.
