In the Library, Grigbertz, 2007
Grigbertz is an artist who seems to focus on Dungeons & Dragons / Furry / BDSM fetishes. He is fond of little architectural details—see the images in each of the vaults over the bookshelves?
I’m not in love with this image, but I like the random teddy bear (maybe it belongs to her?) and the way the sub is chained. And those bookshelves. Damn, I want those bookshelves.
This seems appropriate as a pointer to my latest blog entry, which I am happy to say I didn’t have to write myself. (Wicked time-saver. I need to work on that…)

My readers are the bestestest. Thanks, hotshitcomingthrough, for another adorable little girl that got tied up in her jump rope. She looks a little unsure about why, but I have a feeling she’s about to learn.

The mills of prejudice grind very fine. Highheel isn’t opposed to a certain version of BDSM. He or she is happy to reblog pictures of bondage, pet boys on leashes, women tied down and fucked. But something about LG’s interpretation of this picture crossed the line. O my….
This is the calm before the storm. Although, I doubt she’s calm at all. He sent her to the corner to think about how she’s been a bad girl. And she knows he’s going to teach her pretty ass a lesson. I do love that she’s got her a teddy bear. As if that makes it all better.

This is the kind of thing that makes me think serious sub/dom people are fucked in the head. I mean, seriously: there’s a more likely interpretation of this scene. She’s a pretty girl, and you can see from her eyes that she’s smiling and looking out a window into the sunlight of a fantastic day. Anyone who wants to go spank her at this point should probably go see a psychiatrist, not a rope salesman.
Don’t get me wrong, BDS&M has its place, but it shouldn’t seem so destabilizing and punishing. Trust seems essential, and you shouldn’t just always want to attack people.
